This is the first thing I have ever quilted and I have to say
it was easier than I thought it would be.
I made a little pin cushion out of the leftover fabric from the towels.
Here are my patchwork tea towels, I made for gifts for people.
Each person or family gets two towels.

I think everything about Christmas is so special, but since the birth of my children, it makes me realize the beautiful miracle of God's redemption and sacrifice for us, in a helpless little baby.
Well to be honest my answer is the same as yours! The celebration of Christ's birth and time spent with family. It's also the first christmas for my youngest son and the first christmas my oldest son will actually know what's going on, so I'm pretty excited this year!

To me Christmas is all about hanging out with my friends and family and eating, eating, eating! Nothing is better than sitting around a plate of cookies with my family.
I love hearing my daughter "read" me the (daily!) letters she writes to Santa.
it's the time when we recite at dinner table, silly things each other have done in the past year. =D
I love the focus on Christ's birth and what He has done for us. I love the look of wonder in my children's eyes.
...spending christmas eve with my siblings and all the kids :) no matter where we live or what we're doing, we spend it together.

Christmas is special to me because I have small children and their joy infuses everything. It's hard not to be excited. We do a birthday cake for Jesus, make a big breakfast, play with our new stuff.
I also love the big family dinner later on (that I never have to cook because my SIL is a much better cook than me *joy* )
I love the feeling(s) before Christmas gets here. The way people act toward each other, the smiles that are more easily given, the cheer in the air and I love the music.

. . .I lost my mom on Feb 5 and she was special - this christmas is the first one without her and the first one just with my little family (2 girls, 2 and 3 months) and hubby. I'm going to remember my mom and think about her and start new traditions and try to be a good mom to my girls . .that's what makes christmas special.
What makes Christmas special to me is that these days it's really the only time of the year that I give myself time off and time to decompress.
I love singing Christmas music with my choral group. We're doing a concert of William Byrd's Renaissance motets next Thursday.
The coasters came out beautifully. I am going to have to try and make them, if I don't win them.

I love Christmas because it reminds you to give back to your community. Its so easy to get wound up in my own world, but once Christmas comes around it re-energizes my volunteering spirit.

My favorite thing is seeing the joy on my daughter's face and hear her clap as we drive down out street and look at Chrismas lights. That or giving up some control and letting her "help" make the Christmas cookies. Or also our new tradition of Christmas Eve at a friend's house, eating lobster. Yum! (Can you tell I love Christmas!)

I love everything about being home for Christmas . I have two college age kids and we have always chosen to be at home Christmas morning. In the last few years, we have offered to travel but now my son and daughter love the tradition of us being in our home on Christmas morning.

When I was growing up my parents were Jehovah's witnesses so we did not celebrate Christmas. Now that I'm grown with my own child I celebrate every holiday to the full extent :) I especially love Christmas though because it's the one time my family all comes together without any fighting, LOL.

Christmas is special to me because of my family. Its great to spend time with all of them, all together.
I absolutely love the Christmas season for so many reasons. I think the one I will share is that it just changes people for the better. People are kinder in the grocery store, on the roads, and are just more generous in general!
I love having all 5 of my kids around and opening gifts and laughing and just enjoying each other. Thank is what if is all about.
