I cleaned house and did laundry all day in preparation for our trip tomorrow. I do not know what it is I have to clean my house before I leave on a trip. Why that is is beyond me, maybe I just think that it is clean for more than a day :) Any who we are almost packed and I have to make a quick trip to the store for a few treats for the train. We board at 6:45 am and come into San Juan Capistrano at 1:40 pm. So roughly seven hours on the train. I pack a couple toys, coloring books and reading books. We try to stay entertained as long as possible with that, it usually lasts just past Santa Barbara and then we watch a movie on the portable DVD player. Oh yes I love that thing for traveling. Then lunch and a couple of walks around the train and we are up for maybe one more short movie, like a Berenstain Bears episode. I gave the pep talk today about how they have to really listen and obey momma on the train because of all the people. They have been so good on the past two times we have done this that I am not too worried.
Spending: Planning on $10 at the treats at the store.
Menu:
Breakfast:
Fruit Smoothies
Snack:
Ants on a boat
Banana sliced long ways with sun butter and raisin
Kids loved it
Lunch:
More smoothie and oranges and bananas
Snack:
Popcorn with herb salt
Dinner:
Salad-Kira and tomatoes-Enzo
Bean burritos and no sour cream the kids did not even ask for it Yee Haw!
Grilled veggies on the salad with baked tortilla chips so tasty
Okay I better skedaddle and finish my laundry, make my enchiladas for the boys tomorrow and pack....ahhh feeling a little overwhelmed.
We leave the house at 5:45-6:00 and I already put the kids in their comfy clothes to sleep in and we will be out like trout in the morning.
I will post from San Clemente for the rest of the month.
Adios!
